Mother Earth Beat...
 is a Women's Pow Wow drum that was formed in October 1997.  
We have eighteen members.  Mother Earth Beat is based in the beautiful 
Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. We realizes that Women's Drums, 
in many areas, are not considered traditional, we don't claim to be 
traditional.  We do, however, strive to honor our ancestors with our 
songs.  We feel that now, with the new Millenium, our Earth Mother is 
in dire need of healing, and that is part of the message we hope to 
bring to the People as we sing.  Also, as an Eastern Woodlands Drum, 
part of our mission is to keep alive, and teach, the songs of the 
Eastern Peoples.
